Climate Week in Action

Established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly, International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21 as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace through observing 24 hours of non-violence, educating the public, mobilizing resources, and acknowledging achievements.
2022 has been no exception to conflict. We’ve seen war erupt in Ukraine with millions of families forced to flee their homes. We’ve seen the Syrian Civil War cross the decade mark compounded by the latest food and water shortages. We’ve seen harsh debate, discrimination, and human rights violations at our very own borders, which is just one of the reasons why this year’s theme for the International Day of Peace is “End racism. Build peace.”
The battle against racism is universal. We must all have a hand in freeing our world from hate and senseless violence to help build a just and equitable global community. This is why VidMob continues to offer pro-bono support to nonprofit organizations in the US and abroad dedicated to fostering peace and ending discrimination.
UN Women USA:
Women and girl refugees are at greater risk for sexual and gender-based violence. We partnered with UN Women USA to help raise funds to support at-risk Ukrainian refugees.
Yoga and Sport With Refugees:
From yoga and meditation to therapy and counseling, Yoga and Sport with Refugees turned to VidMob to help men, women and children fleeing persecution in their home countries.
Impartial:
We helped Impartial, an organization that provides awareness and direct support to criminal justice organizations, connect with law students in order to to learn more about how they want to engage the criminal justice system.
Reesha:
As violence, chaos, and human rights atrocities continue in Afghanistan under Taliban rule, Reesha is on the ground providing critical support to vulnerable Afghan families. Vidmob created a set of fundraising videos aimed to help ten families with food and shelter for a year.
